Grandma’s Rooftop Garden

  • On the top floor of a city apartment lives a solitary old woman who is viewed strangely by others. She always picks up leftover vegetable scraps from the market and spends all her time in her rooftop vegetable garden. There, she raises her birds and grows all kinds of vegetables: tomatoes, radishes, cabbages, etc. Her vegetable garden soon becomes vibrant with life, and she soon gifts her neighbours and family her harvest – and a hearty homemade meal for her family!

This story was inspired by the nostalgia the author felt for her own grandma, who is essentially the main protagonist of this book, while teaching us about living green and kindness through a catchy ballad. It evokes even a sense of nostalgia, reminding readers of their grandmas, hometowns...
