An Inch of Light

  • Millions of cats live under daylight, and millions more live in the pitch black underground. All the cats who live in daylight wear the same clothes, live in identical houses, and eat the same food. The cats underground, on the other hand, can’t see one another, and so their clothes, houses, and what they eat are all different. Yet one day, an inch of light creeps into the underground cats’ world, and for the first time, the cats see each other, and the world starts to change…

This book is charming in its minimalist style, both in story and art style, while still being extremely thought-provoking.
