On a cold winter night, Xiao Mu and her mother are on their home in the suburbs. As usual, they sit in silence, tired and sleepy. Half-asleep, they see a sign for the Beaver Cat Café. They have never seen this café before and wonder when it opened. When they reach the station, Xiao Mu begs her mother to go to the Beaver Cat Café. After ordering two cups of hot milk, Xiao Mu’s mother puts her head down for a nap, and Xiao Mu looks around the café. In the blink of an eye, the cafe changes its appearance: the owner and customers are all small animals. Xiao Mu is stunned, especially when a voice asks "Are you a human?" 

Xuhua XIE (author) graduated from Beijing Normal University with a master's degree in children's literature and is an editor and writer of children's literature. 

Yufei ZHAO (illustrator), a professional illustrator and picture book creator. She graduated from the Illustration Department of the School of Visual Arts in New York with a master's degree. Her book was shortlisted for the Feng Zikai Children's Picture Book Award and China's Most Beautiful Picture Book. She enjoys drawing and creativity, and has always been committed to "telling a good story".
