The Tear Bunny
-
Every day, I find myself in tears, surrounded by the disappointments of life and the incessant nagging and misunderstanding from my mother. One day, on the way to school, "I" stumbled over a stone, and "I" burst into loud sobs. Through the veil of my tears, a Tear Bunny appeared. I secretly brought the Tear Bunny to school, where it caused a lot of trouble and kept growing bigger. When my mother discovered it, she was a mix of fear and fury, and she dragged me away. In my attempt to escape, I inadvertently stepped into the world of tears. Within this world, I was confronted with the true expanse of my inner self. It was then I decided to let my mother step into it too...
This story vividly conveys a child's inner growth through concrete imagery, exploring the complex, often unspoken emotions and psychological motives behind a child's tears. It also reveals to adults the child behind those tears, advocating for empathy, mutual understanding and acceptance.
