Summary
'Little Mole and Stars' is a picture book for young children featuring a little blind mole. From his solitary life in the countryside, Mole goes on an adventure, setting off for the big city. On the way, he gets help and encouragement from everyone he meets. So, by the time he gets to the city, he feels safe, surrounded by his new friends. The story evokes a warm heart glowing in the dark, letting young readers know everyone is a twinkling star and, collectively, we are a galaxy of glimmering lights.
Author and Illustrator
Chang Li is a children's literature writer, and doctor of literature. He is currently an associate professor at the School of Humanities of Zhejiang Normal University and a tutor for master's students in children's literature.
Toyou is a freelance illustrator previously known as Taoyu Li. He received a BA and MA in illustration from the University of Arts London, UK. His works have been exhibited in various countries around the world, including China, Britain, and Poland. Moreover, his publication had won numerous international awards, including the United States Creative Quarterly 52 Winner Award, the Hiii Illustration Excellent Work Award, and the JUNGLE New Talent Award.
