This book is dedicated to all children who persist in their dreams.
Yulu (Rain Dew) is a girl who loves painting. She paints on a canvas originally meant for a famous painter, but her self-portraits keep melting. However, Yulu preserves, and finally receives the approval of the canvas after numerous attempts. This book depicts metaphorically the struggle and reconciliation between the little girl and the canvas and her ultimate breakthrough as a talented painter.

Wenxuan CAO (writer) is a prolific Chinese novelist, most known for his Children’s literature works. He is the first Chinese author to receive the Hans Christian Anderson Award (2016). This is his first collaboration with Suzy Lee.
Suzy Lee (illustrator) is a Korean picture-book maker. She is the first Korean to win the prestigious Hans Christian Andersen Award (2022) for lifetime achievement in illustrating children's books.
