Yifan HU is famous for using poetic expression in picture books and other media to show reality and imagination. His picture book Breathe In, Breathe Out was awarded the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) Graduate Creative Excellence Award; a 2021 BIBF Ananas International Illustration Exhibition Newcomer Award; and was selected for the dPICTUS World’s 100 Best Picture Books 2023.

His picture book Dot And Dots won the CAFA graduation creation first prize, and is now in the CAFA Art Museum collection.
